This design displays sequential figure and ground, capturing the elements of flow and continuation to maintain intrigue. From box one to ten, the focus on shape and flow impacts the aesthetic of the piece through the use of various letterforms. The application of Gestalt principles allows for a viewer’s own interpretation of the piece. From top to bottom, one can visualize a rhythmic pattern of black and white and the integration of flow between the typefaces. This project incorporates stable, reversible, and ambiguous elements that vary between boxes to generate a complete design of the word typography and numbers zero through nine.
